The Zambales provincial government has secured a P2.617 billion loan from the Land Bank of the Philippines (Landbank) under its Local Government Unit Omnibus Term Loan Facility Program.
The funds will be used to construct and improve various infrastructure projects and facilities in the province, according to officials.
Zambales Governor Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. said during his recent State of the Province Address that the loan will support the development of several projects including the President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital Annex Building, a new capitol building, an amphitheater, the Balin Sambali Annex Building, sports facilities, and the acquisition of heavy equipment and vehicles for engineering services.
The governor emphasized that the loan will enhance healthcare and social services, improve education and youth development, boost the capacity of government workers, and provide livelihood and support to social enterprises.
Officials said the projects are in line with the comprehensive development plan of the province and aim to improve the delivery of social services, public health and business development requirements.
