Zambales council office shuttered after employee shows symptoms
The council office of the municipality of San Antonio in Zambales province was shut down temporarily after one of its employees exhibited symptoms of the new coronavirus disease.
The 40-year-old female government worker assigned at the municipal council was found to be reactive after a rapid test for Covid-19, the provincial health officer said in a Philippine Daily Inquirer report.
“She has a fever and colds. She is now isolated in President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital while awaiting the result of her swab test,” Noel Bueno was quoted as saying in the report.
The temporary closure of the council’s office was to allow disinfection in the area, according to the report.
As of Friday, there are a total of 537 confirmed Covid-19 cases in Zambales. There are 499 recoveries and three deaths.
