Yummy! Angeles gears up for Sisig Festival–Pamintuan
Angeles City Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan will lead the city’s celebration of the Sisig Festival on April 29, Saturday.
The City Council earlier proclaimed the pork dish as an “Intangible Cultural Heritage” of Angeles.
Ordinance No. 405, Series of 2017, cited the significance of sisig as part of Kapampangan culinary history.
The festival aims to showcase school-based and community-based makers of “sizzling sisig,” a popular bar chow.
“This is yet another opportunity for our citizens to preserve and promote our heritage, and that is by safeguarding our cultural practices and traditional culinary arts,” Pamintuan said.#
