Why did Governor Dennis Pineda say no to donations for Pampanga?
Governor Dennis Pineda is not a greedy politician.
Even though Pampanga was affected by the strong winds and rainfall of Typhoon Ulysses, he refused to accept any donation for the province. This is because the available government funds are enough to cover the damage left by the typhoon. The governor asked everyone instead to direct all donations to other provinces severely affected by Typhoon Ulysses.
“These are the regions that we have to pay attention to right now,” the governor said.
