Victoria Mayor Christian Yap thanks parol makers for Christmas

They say aside from the celebration of the Christmas season being the longest in the Philippines, it is also the most fun.
While it depends on personal lens and biases, Pinoys will surely agree that Christmas is more fun here than anywhere in the world. Victoria Tarlac Mayor Christian Yap is one believer of Paskong Pinoy and one of the traditions he holds dear is the parol-making contest. This year, students from the Victoria National High School designed parols (Christmas lanterns) using recycled and indigenous materials. The parols are all proudly displayed at the town’s park. Mayor Yap thanked everyone who devoted their time and effort to designing and making the best parol.
