Vaccinated San Fernando residents reminded: You can still get Covid-19
A health official on Tuesday reminded residents of San Fernando City that they could still contract Covid-19 even though they had been vaccinated.
Dr. Iris Rose Muñoz, National Immunization Program (NIP) Manager, told the vaccinated residents to continue observing minimum health standards.
“Kapag nabakunahan ka na, hindi ibig sabihin hindi ka na magkaka-Covid,” she said.
“Ang vaccines hindi niya ipe-prevent na magkaroon ka ng Covid. Ang purpose nito ay just in case na magka–Covid ka, hindi ka pupunta doon sa severe or critical conditions na dinadala sa ospital, bumabagsak ang oxygen saturation, tinutubo, ina-ICU,” Muñoz said.
“Kapag vaccinated ka na, at least mild na lang yung magiging condition mo. Pero again, kapag hindi ka sumunod sa health protocols, kahit vaccinated ka pa, pwede ka pa ring magka-Covid,” she added.
