Tugade describes new Clark terminal as a ‘masterpiece’
Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade on Tuesday described the new terminal of the Clark International Airport as “something that can be called a masterpiece.”
The Cabinet official praised the manager and operator of the terminal, the Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), for the project.
Officials said Clark Airport’s Terminal 2 is set to be inaugurated in July and close-to-final touches on the four-level facility are underway, following LIPAD’s outfitting this terminal with suitable state-of-the-art technology and vital installations for smooth operations.
Tugade expressed his gratitude to LIPAD for its meticulous work on the terminal, which has a capacity of eight million passengers per year, double the volume Clark served before the pandemic.
LIPAD CEO Bi Yong Chungunco welcomed the transportation chief and his party together with other LIPAD officials.
