Tiba-tiba si Lilia! Pampanga quarry revenue hits record P36.8M
The Pampanga provincial government hit a record P36.8 million for its March quarry collection.
This is the highest monthly collection of the quarry industry in the province under the administration of Governor Lilia Pineda.
Provincial Administrator Andres Pangilinan Jr. said the high demand of quarry materials used in government infrastructure projects and construction of big malls and other business establishments in Central Luzon and the National Capital Region contributed to the increase in collection.
The suspension of the collection of the weighing fees per truckload since December 2016 did not affect the daily quarry collection after the provincial government closely monitored the issuance of permits issued to local government units for their infrastructure projects.
Total quarry revenues under Pineda have reached more than P2 billion.
