Tesda Pampanga courses go digital during pandemic
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in Pampanga has crafted online training programs as part of the new normal, according to the Philippine Information Agency report.
TESDA Provincial Director Eric Ueda said the TESDA training courses were now made available online because of the pandemic but the decision still rested on private and public training centers in the province whether to go through with the digital shift.
He added in the report that the Trainers’ Methodology course, which is designed to provide competency for future Technical and Vocational Education and Training assessors or trainers, could also be fully conducted online.
TESDA also opts for blended learning for training which requires face-to-face interactions, Ueda said.
“We have online training but there are qualifications or programs such as the Automotive Servicing course which cannot be fully online and needs a face-to-face portion,” he was quoted as saying in the report.
“Majority of our courses basically need face-to-face and should be taught actual,” Ueda said.
