Tarlac under ‘extreme enhanced quarantine’ beginning Sunday — Gov Yap
Tarlac Gov. Susan Yap has placed the entire province under extreme lockdown beginning Sunday following the confirmation of two more positive Covid-19 cases in her jurisdiction.
Under Executive Order No. 10, the governor declared Tarlac under “extreme enhanced community quarantine,” starting Sunday, March 29.
She said the order was pursuant to the “Bayanihan to Heal as One Act,” which mandates local government officials to take such actions.
On Friday, Yap wrote on Facebook that two more patients in Tarlac tested positive for Covid-19, two males, one 28-year-old from Sto Rosario, Capas, and the other, a 59-year-old from Bulacan.
Sixteen others who were tested were negative for the coronavirus, she said.
Based on her lockdown order, only authorized persons shall be allowed to go outside their residences.
“Bukas pa din po ang public markets , drug stores, banks, money transfer services, food chains, restaurants, carinderia (takeout only), supermarkets, convenience stores, sari sari stores,” Yap said.
“Stay Home! Stay safe Tarlaqueños!” she said.
