Tarlac representative Noel Villanueva: No funding for soft projects yet
Listen up, Cabalens! Tarlac third district representative Noel Villanueva has some important news for you.
He took to Facebook to clarify an issue after some complaints have reached his office. At present, “NO FUNDS WERE RELEASED YET,” he wrote, pertaining to the 2019 General Appropriations Act which includes funding for soft projects of districts. Soft projects include educational assistance, medical aid, crisis response fund, etc.
There had been social media posts complaining why aid has already been granted to residents of other nearby areas such as Capas, Lapaz, and Bamban. Representative Villanueva said that these funds have come directly from the main agencies like DepEd, DOH, and DSWD and not from the 2019 budget.
As a closing note, the congressman wants everyone to know that there is no discrimination as to whom his office would help. He and his team is open anytime for any concerns so social media, according to him, must not be used as a platform to air out misinformed grievances. “Spread LUV, not hate.💚,” he wrote.
