Tarlac Governor Susan Yap prioritizes food in the COVID-19 crisis
Tarlac Governor Susan Yap proves her consistency as a public leader.
Since the pandemic started, one of her priorities is to provide food and sources of it to her constituents. She has introduced urban farming to make communities in Tarlac more food secure and sustainable. Before September ends, she and her team started a Community Agri-Tourism Farm sustainability contest that aims to fill in the food needs of Tarlac residents in this time of a pandemic.
In Santa Ignacia, Damaso Pallorina from Brgy Pugo Ceciliop was chosen as the representative. He received free farm inputs such as vegetable seeds and fertilizers that he would be using in the Agri-Tourism Farm.
