Tarlac City provides summer job to over 100 students
The city government of Tarlac has conducted an orientation to more than 100 students for its summer job program.
The Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) will be implemented with the help of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), through the City Manpower Development and Employment Services Office (CMDESO).
“Sa ilalim ng Administrasyon ni Mayor Cristy Angeles, binibigyan ng mataas na prayoridad ang pag-aaral ng mga kabataan lalo na ang mga kapos ang kabuhayan sa pamamagitan ng mga programang tulad ng SPES,” the Tarlac City Information Office said.
The beneficiaries will be given salary equivalent to minimum wage for 20 days that they will work at the city hall.
Through this program, the local government said the students could earn money, which they could spend for their tuition fee, books and other materials needed in school. #
