Tarlac City Mayor Angeles reveals P288M savings of city gov’t
Tarlac City Mayor Cristy Angeles boasted over the weekend of her administration’s P288.10 million savings in city government’s funds.
“Isa po sa mga ipinagmamalaki ng ating administrasyon ngayon ay ang 288.10M savings o cash position na nakuha natin sa tamang pamamalakad at pamumuno,” Angeles said on a post her Facebook page, titled, “State of the City Address – Highlights.”
According to her, the savings will be used to fund projects aimed at advancing the welfare of every Tarlaqueno, on top of her 14-in-1 Angel Care program.
These include the construction of two classrooms for each of the 17 public elementary schools in the city, the rehabilitation of roads, and putting up of traffic and road signs.
A perimeter fence will also be erected around the Tarlac City Gymnatorium that will be constructed, and a Tarlac City Plazuela Gymansium will be built at the Tarlac City Pasalubong Center.
Completing the list of projects are the rehabilitation of the downtown public market and of some offices at the city hall.
“Tapos na po ang mga panahon na kung saan, tayo ay inilugmok sa matinding pagkakabaon sa utang,” Angeles, who is seeking a reelection in next year’s polls, said.
“Kung anuman ang natatamasa natin ngayon, ang mga ito po ay resulta (ng) at nagmula sa ating pagkakaisa para sa malinis at tapat na layunin tungo sa magandang kinabukasan,” the lady politiko said.
