Tarlac City LGU accepts 3 Japanese interns
The city government of Tarlac has welcomed three Japanese students who will undertake internship program at the local government.
The three students came from Tokyo City University and Mejiro University and they will be assigned to the city government for one month work and immersion to the Filipino and Tarlaqueño culture, the local government said.
The acceptance of Japanese interns by the city government of Tarlac, along with the Rotary Club of Tarlac Metro, aims to strengthen its partnership through the Internship Program of students from various universities in Japan.
The program also seeks “to develop the exchange of knowledge and culture which shall serve as benchmark in implementing improved policies and programs,” the city government said.
Mayor Cristy Angeles has been supportive of the program as this is in line with her vision to make Tarlac City a globalized city, it added.
