Tarlac City holds workshop on comprehensive land use
The city government of Tarlac has conducted a series of workshop on land use towards inclusive growth.
Mayor Cristy Angeles said the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP), which was held on Monday, April 16, was attended by the different stakeholders.
The participants were members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, barangay officials from the 76 villages, department heads, representatives from the provincial government and national government agencies, utility companies, sectoral representatives and civil society organizations.
“The updated CLUP is envisioned to provide the primary bases for the future use of land resources that will pave the way for sustainable development of the local economy,” Angeles said.
She said the workshop aimed to consult and engage stakeholders in the identification of policies and strategies to improve existing conditions and address emerging issues and challenges relative to land use, priority development programs and projects.
