‘Swab and go’ testing facility launched in Clark freeport
The Clark “Swab and Go” Covid Facility was officially launched on Tuesday under a partnership between Clark Development Corp. (CDC), the Pampanga provincial government and the Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBLMGH).
The facility aims to provide a reasonable and convenient way for locators and employees to have their Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests, officials said in a statement.
The “Swab and Go” site is located at the open space parking lot in front of the CDC-Health and Sanitation Division (HSD), officials said.
The main booth was donated by the Department of Public Works and Highways. Free wifi was likewise be provided by PLDT-Clark, officials said.
CDC president and CEO Manuel Gaerlan said a convenient testing facility was very important in the area.
“It is really important to have a testing facility here. This is for our workers and stakeholders and it is important that they can be tested so that the spread of the virus can be mitigated,” he was quoted as saying.
