Some courts in Nueva Ecija damaged by Karding

A number of courts in Nueva Ecija have been damaged by the storm, Supreme Court (SC) Spokesperson Brian Hosaka said on Monday (Sept. 26).

“As per the partial report submitted to the Office of Court Administrator, Raul B. Villanueva, the courts in the areas affected by typhoon Karding sustained no major damage except our courts from Nueva Ecija including Cabanatuan City which would need repairs due to damage caused by the typhoon,” Hosaka said.

“The Office of Court Administrator Villanueva is making sure that this will be done as soon as possible in order not to unduly disrupt court operations,” he added.

Because of the typhoon, the Acting Chief Justice Marvic Leonen ordered the suspension of work in courts in the areas of Central Luzon, South Tagalog and the National Capital Region.

To the courts not mentioned in his memorandum, Leonen granted authority to executive judges to suspend work in their respective stations.
