Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman has nothing but respect for Filipino veterans.

The politiko got the chance to dialogue with some of them when they recently visited the House of Representatives.

“We owe them our freedom and they deserve due recognition from the State,” said Roman.

She said this was the reason why she filed a bill seeking to increase the pension of World War II veterans from P5,000 to P20,000.

“Only a few are still living and they are getting fewer by the day. Kung hindi natin sila kikilalanin ngayon, kailan pa? Give the flowers now!” said Roman.
