Senate conducts public hearing for proposed Metro Bataan Dev’t Authority
The Senate conducted Monday the first public hearing for the proposed creation of the Metro Bataan Development Authority.
In his Facebook post, Bataan 2nd District Representative Jose Enrique “Joet” Garcia III shared his attendance in the hearing called by Senator Richard Gordon.
The hearing tackles House Bill No. 8423, titled “An Act Creating the Metro Bataan Development Authority, Defining Its Powers and Functions, and Providing Funds Therefor,” which the House of Representatives Approved last Nov. 12, 2018 and transmitted to the Senate a day after.
Joining the hearing as well are MBDA Chairman Charlie Pizarro; Mayor Alice Pizarro of Pilar, Bataan; Mayor Ace Jello “AJ” Concepcion of Mariveles, Bataan; and, Mayor Antonio “Tony Pep” Raymundo of Orion, Bataan, among a number of local and national government officials.
Garcia said the second public hearing will be held on Nov. 30 at the MBDA Command Center in Orani, Bataan.
