Sen. Villanueva to extend scholarship, livelihood assistance to Aeta people in Tarlac
Senator Joel Villanueva will provide scholarship and livelihood assistance to the indigenous people of Tarlac on Monday, April 30.
Villanueva, chair of the Senate committee on labor, employment, and human resources development, said the “Tulong Trabaho at Kabuhayan Project” is in line with his advocacy of creating decent jobs for every Filipino.
“We will be awarding 500 scholarships for carpentry, welding, masonry, and agricultural courses from TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority), and P1.5-million worth of DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment) Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) and Tulong Pangkabuhayan para sa Disadvantaged (TUPAD) workers assistance for the Aeta community,” he said.
The turnover of training scholarships and livelihood assistance will be held at Brgy. Cristo Rey covered court in Capas, Tarlac at 9:30 a.m.
