Search for drowned man in Zambales continues
Authorities have been searching for a 22-year old man who went missing while swimming in a resort in Zambales province, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said Tuesday.
PCG said Ranny Mamaril, resident of St. Peter village, Cutcot, Angeles City, Pampanga, was reported missing since Sunday, June 17.
According to his brother Richard Mamaril, Ranny went on a swimming venture 50 meters away from the shoreline of Canlas Beach Resort at Brgy. Maluma, San Felipe, Zambales.
But he was battered by big waves causing him to drown.
PCG said its personnel in sub-station Wawandue, along with the Philippine National Police Station in San Felipe, conducted surface search but yielded with negative result.
The PCG sub-station is continuously conducting search and rescue operations within the area where the incident happened, it said.
