Science City of Muñoz hails student for winning in national para games
The government of Science City of Muñoz has commended an elementary student from the city who won in the recent national paralympic games.
Francis Mark A. Salazar brought home several awards in the 6th Philippine Sports Association for the Differently Abled-National Paralympic Committee of the Philippines (PHILSPADA) National Para Games 2018 held at Marikina Sports Center, Marikina City from May 12-19.
He was the champion in the 200-meter individual medley, 2nd place in the 50-m backstroke and 4th place in the 50-m free style.
Salazar also won bronze medal in the breast stroke, back stroke and free style event in the 61st Edition of the Palarong Pambansa, which was participated in by over 12,000 athletes held in Vigan, Ilocos Sur on April 15-21.
Leah Irish A. Salazar, Department of Education teacher in Science City of Muñoz and Mark’s mother, acted as his personal coach.
