Sandiganbayan OKs Mike Arroyo’s Europe trip
Former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo has been allowed by the Sandiganbayan 7th Division to travel to Europe.
The anti-graft court has issued a resolution which granted the motion to travel of Arroyo who sought to make the trips from May 23 to June 10.
The court only warned him that he should abide with the conditions set by the court, otherwise, it will forfeit his travel bond and issue a warrant for his arrest.
Among the conditions, the court told him to present himself before the clerk of court within five days from his expected day of arrival.
In his motion, Arroyo said he will be going to Madrid, Spain on May 24; San Sebastian, Spain from May 30 to June 3; and Lisbon, Portugal from June 3 to 6.
Arroyo is facing graft charges before the Seventh Division over the alleged anomalous purchase of two helicopters to the Philippine National Police (PNP) in 2009.
