San Luis eyes 100% vaccination of seniors by end of July
All senior citizens in San Luis town in Pampanga province should be fully inoculated against Covid-19 before the end of July.
That’s the goal of the local government leaders as San Luis Mayor Jayson Sagum asked for additional supply of Covid-19 vaccines from the Pampanga provincial government.
The mayor asked for the help of Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda to help him secure new stocks.
“I’ve already talked to Governor (Dennis) Pineda and he said he cannot commit but will look for ways to grant our request,” Sagum said in a Sun Star Pampanga report.
According to the report, as of Wednesday, some 4,085 senior citizens in the town under the A2 priority group have not been vaccinated.
“Five hundred doses will be administered at our mega vaccination site in Poblacion area, while 300 will simultaneously be rolled out in the barangay via our mobile clinic,” the mayor was quoted as saying.
