San Fernando City mayor goes to streets to check Ompong’s effects
The mayor of San Fernando City, Pampanga went around the streets on Saturday to inspect the situation after typhoon Ompong unleashed strong winds and rains in Luzon.
According to a Facebook post of the city government’s information office, Mayor Edwin Santiago conducted an inspection on the roads and of the residents in St. Jude Village in Barangay San Agustin.
Photos accompanying the post showed Santiago in a pair slippers and comfortable clothes – short pants, jacket and ball cap.
The post said the politiko is also set to visit a number of barangays, especially those affected by flooding.
Pampanga was placed under Typhoon Signal No. 2 even before and until after Ompong swept over the landmass of Cagayan, Apayao and Ilocos Norte on Saturday morning.(END)
