Samal, Bataan mayor holds major brgy. visitation

Mayor Generosa de la Fuente of Samal town in Bataan province has kicked off a series of visits to all 14 barangays of the municipality under the local government’s “Dalaw Barangay” program.

On her Facebook account, de la Fuente said the visitation began Wednesday, Sept. 5, and will last until all 14 barangays have been visited.

“In intensifying the link between the government and the people, Dalaw Barangay is conducted twice every year,” de la Fuente’s Facebook post wrote.

“This is a faithful deed of Mayor Gene as she sustains the call of genuine transformation.”

During the visits, front liners of the municipal government, especially those responsible for basic services, are brought along.

Among the services provided during the visits are business permit and licensing, child development services, scholarship, plastic waste conversions, free haircut, free immunization, and medical and dental services.

A portion of the program called DABES, for Dalaw Barangay Express Solusyon, the mayor responds to concerns of Child Development Centers and Schools and provides solutions.

Vice Mayor Aida Macalinao, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and municipal and village officials take part in the event.(END)
