Roque pays visit to Angeles City Hall, praises Lazatin brothers
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque paid a courtesy call last week to Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. and his brother, Pampanga Rep. Carmelo Lazatin II, and praised them for their “good governance.”
Roque made the visit at the Angeles City Hall on June 17, according to a Punto Central Luzon report.
“Wherever the late Cong. Lazatin is, I am sure he is very proud of the both of you, having his legacy live on,” the Cabinet official was quoted as saying, referring to the Lazatin patriarch.
He recalled his working days with the elder Lazatin during his days in Congress, according to the report.
Roque also commended the Angeles City government for its implementation of safety and health protocols being undertaken by the national government.
In response, Mayor Lazatin said that the city government is one with the national government in its aim to end this pandemic soon.
