Roman’s road project at Bataan National Park faces opposition
Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman’s proposed road project at the Bataan National Park is facing strong opposition from local residents.
The Bataan politiko is pushing for the construction of a 40-kilometer Orani-Morong access road that will traverse the national park.
Several Bataeños have filed a complaint before the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) opposing the project.
Complainants said pushing through with the project will have a negative impact on the biodiversity of the national park.
They added that there are already alternative roads that can be used.
