Roman urges public to stand up for equality, justice, human rights
Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman called on the people to uphold human rights as welk as the rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community.
The politiko made the call on Monday, December 10, the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
“Let’s stand up for equality, justice and human dignity!” said Roman.
“As Congresswoman of the First District of Bataan, I have worked hard to pass bills that will ensure ALL Filipinos will enjoy equal rights. The SOGIE Equality Bill has already passed the House, and now awaits its fate in the Senate. Now is the perfect time to raise our voices and let our Senators know that we, the people, demand equal rights for ALL – including our LGBT brothers and sisters!” she added.
