Roman honors Filipino workers on Labor Day
Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman gave her salute to Filipino laborers both here and abroad on Tuesday, May 1, also known as Labor Day.
The politiko urged the public to honor the workers who toil day and night to give a better life for their families.
“Let us celebrate the many skills, talents, and unrivaled creativity of Filipino workers all over the world. So many of our bothers and sisters work long, hard hours – often away from home! – to be able to provide for their families. Today, and everyday, we honor them,” said Roman.
She also took the time to remember the great sacrifices of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
“Let us also take this day to remember the continuing fight for workers’ rights, especially for our OFWs in the Middle East. Let us continue to pray for just working conditions and more and better employment opportunities!” said Roman.
“Ipagpatuloy natin ang pagsuporta sa ating mga Pilipinong Manggagawa!” she added.
