Roman is the happiest #EqualityChamp as SOGIE bill hurdles 2nd reading
Slowly but surely, Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman is winning the fight.
The transgender politiko was elated because the House of Representatives approved the Anti-Sexual Orientation or Gender Identity (SOGIE) Discrimination Act on second reading on Wednesday, September 13.
Roman thanked Dinagat Islands Representative Kaka Bag-ao, Laguna 3rd District Representative, DIWA Representative Em Aglipay-Villar, women and gender equality panel chairperosn, and all the others who made the feat possible.
“Equality for all. Let us unite. Together, we win our battles,” said Roman.

Today marks a milestone for Equality. Today, the House of Representatives of the 17th Congress approved the SOGIE Equality Bill on Second Reading. This was made possible through the efforts of more than 160 #EqualityChamps led by Rep. Kaka Bag-ao, Rep. Sol Aragones, Rep. Em Villar, and all those who have fought for the cause in Congress for the past 18 years. We also extend special thanks to Rep. Lito Atienza for his constructive collaboration. Equality for ALL.
