Roman eyes Cancer Treatment Centers nationwide
Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman is batting for the establishment Cancer Treatment Centers all over the country via House Bill 268.
The Bataan politiko’s proposed measure aims provide psychosocial and rehabilitation needs of cancer patients and their families as well as provide assistance to cancer survivors.
Roman’s bill also seeks to establish the National Cancer Management Program.
This seeks to reduce the number of cancer cases in the country through education and awareness campaigns.
“This important piece of would-be legislation does not focus on cancer treatment alone but also on scientific research and cancer management as well. The objectives of my bill are to promote, encourage, engage, and assist in scientific research on matters related to cancer,” Roman said.
She added cancer patients will have equal opportunities to avail of cancer-related services and facilities because of the proposed Cancer Treatment Centers nationwide.#
