Road projects in 2 Nueva Ecija towns completed, says DPWH
Two road projects in Gabaldon and Bongabon towns in Nueva Ecija province have finally been finished, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Nueva Ecija’s second district engineering office reported the completion of the projects located in Barangay Cuyapa in Gabaldon and Barangay Vega in Bongabon.
According to a Philippine Information Agency report, Office of the District Engineer caretaker Eduardo De Guzman said the concreting of these roads “will provide safe and convenient travel and will greatly contribute to the development of the local economy.”
“We are pleased to implement projects that we know will improve the lives of the people in Nueva Ecija,” he said in the PIA report.
“We also know that roads are integral to the transport of goods and delivery services thus our agency hopes that projects like these will not just increase mobility but improve the livelihood of the residents as well,” De Guzman was quoted as saying.
The P2.94 million road concreting project in Bongabon has a length of 479.45 meters and was funded under the 2021 budget.
The 1,042.94 meter farm-to-market road project in Gabaldon is part of the Farm-to-Market Road Connectivity Project of Department of Agriculture under the Bayanihan to Recover As One Act.
