Remember ‘honorable sacrifices’ of PH heroes – Roman
Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman urged the public to remember the many Filipinos who fought for the freedoms we enjoy today.
The politiko posted her Independence Day message on Facebook on Tuesday, June 12.
“This Independence Day, let us take a moment to remember the sacrifices brave Filipinos have made to ensure our country’s freedom. Many soldiers, nationalists, activists, and humanitarians have given their lives so that you and I can live in a free society,” said Roman.
“Let us never forget their honorable sacrifices, and the impact their lives have made on our nation. This is also the time to once more appreciate the beauty of our Philippine history, language, culture, art and music,” she added.
The politiko, howeve, say the country still has a long way to go, “but we are getting there.”
“The House has recently passed legislation that champions important social causes such as SOGIE Equality, increase in veterans’ pensions, and other measures that will widen protection for all Filipinos and our Filipino heritage,” said Roman.
“All this makes me hopeful for our future as a country. Looking forward to the years ahead! More power, Philippines, and happy 120th Independence Day!” she added.
