Public schools suspend class in Pampanga

Classes are suspended in all public schools in Pampanga province until January 21, according to the Department of Education (DepEd).
DepEd’s Pampanga Division made the announcement of an academic health break through Division Memorandum 15 S. 2022.
According to DepEd-Pampanga, the suspension of classes is implemented to ensure the recovery of Covid-19-infected teachers and students in Pampanga.
“It also aims to curb the further spread of Covid-19 variants within our division and communities as we are currently under Alert Level 3 classification by the National Inter-agency Task Force,” the memo read in part.
Schools were directed to put on hold all synchronous and asynchronous classes, submission of academic requirements and conduct of teaching-related activities.
But private schools may exercise their discretion in the suspension of classes and other activities, according to DepEd.
