Poor Bacolor residents get P3K to P5K in cash aid
Pampanga Rep. Aurelio Gonzales Jr. and Bacolor Mayor Diman Datu led the distribution of financial assistance to indigents in crisis situations in Bacolor town through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
According to a Sun Star Pampanga report, the distribution was held at the Bacolor Gym and attended by town officials, as well as Gonzales’s chief of staff Mica Gonzales and Engr. Aurelio Brenz Gonzales.
In his speech, Gonzales said indigents should be getting more financial support during the pandemic.
Some 280 Bacolor residents received cash during the ceremony led by the DSWD and Gonzales’ office.
Each of the beneficiaries received some P3,000 to P5,000 in assistance, according to the report.
