PNP maritime unit to assist SBMA in patrolling Subic coastal areas
Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) chairman and administrator Wilma Eisma on Friday met with police officials to discuss a plan to have maritime units of the Philippine National Police to help in patrolling the coastal areas of Subic Bay.
The Regional Maritime Unit 3 (RMU3) headed by Police Lt. Col. Harry Domingo and Police Maj. Samuel Reyes paid a courtesy call to Eisma’s office at the SBMA Administration Building on Friday.
Joining them were PNP Regional Intelligence Unit 3 (RIU3) Provincial Intelligence Team supervisor Police Major Reychard Valencia, and other SBMA officials.
The SBMA and the PNP RMU3 are set to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that “will mutually benefit the two agencies,” according to Eisma.
The agreement will be especially helpful in “keeping the waters of Subic Bay free from criminal activities,” according to Eisma.
