Pineda grants P2K in cash assistance each to 166 seniors
A total of 166 senior citizens, including bedridden residents, in the second district of Pampanga received P2,000 each in cash assistance from Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia Pineda.
Officials said the financial assistance was part of the “regular support” for senior citizens and their families in the province.
According to a statement, Second District Board Member Fritzie David Dizon led the awarding of the assistance with the help of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office and the Provincial Treasurer’s Office.
The beneficiaries received P2,000 each.
The recipients came from Sasmuan, Sta. Rita, Floridablanca, and Porac.
Pineda also ordered the distribution of supplemental milk for the seniors.
“The assistance aims to support the families of the senior citizens who are looking after the health and well-being of elderly Kapampangans,” according to a Sun Star Pampanga report.
