Pineda distributes P6M worth of Covid-19 testing machines, kits
The provincial government of Pampanga led by Governor Dennis Pineda handed over Covid-19 antigen testing machines and test kits worth P6.10 million to cities and towns in the province to curb the spread of the disease.
In a statement, officials said the testing devices and kits were donated by Belvedere Vista Corp., which sent 23 antigen machines and 17,500 test kits to Pineda’s office.
Every city and municipality in Pampanga received one antigen machine and at least 500 to 1,000 kits, officials said.
“Diniscuss ko po sa mga municipal and city mayors natin kasama ang mga medtech and nurses nila na gamitin ang mga antigen machines at kits na ito para makatulong sa pag-screen at mabilis na pag-detect ng mga Covid-19 patients natin,” Pineda said in a Sun Star Pampanga report.
The governor said the result of antigen testing were still subject to confirmatory RT-PCR tests.
