PDEA-PNP team seizes P2.5M illegal drugs in Pampanga raid
The government anti-narcotics agents raided Sunday, April 15, a house in Magalang, Pampanga, resulting to the arrest of a suspect and confiscation of illegal drugs, with an estimated value of P2.5 million.
Joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 3 and Pampanga police swooped down a residence in Bliss 1 in Barangay San Jose by virtue of a search warrant issued by Executive Judge Cecilyn Burgos-Villavert of Regional Trial Court 89 of Quezon City.
The operation resulted to the arrest of certain Akil Imam, 29, from Mindanao and resident of the said address.
“The confiscated illegal drugs weigh more or less 500 grams with a street value of 2.5 million pesos,” Pampanga police said.
Also confiscated from the suspect were short firearms and other illegal drug paraphernalia.
The PDEA took custody of the suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence.
