PCSO gives P2M to support 2 Pampanga hospitals
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has turned over checks amounting to P2 million to the Pampanga provincial government as a form of assistance to its hospitals and medical/health programs
Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda received the checks from PCSO Pampanga Branch manager Ma. Lourdes Soliman, according to a report in Sun Star Pampanga.
The report said the latest fund endowment from PCSO will be utilized for patients at the Diosdado P. Macapagal Memorial Hospital and the Ricardo P. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital.
In January, the PCSO donated P8 million to eight district hospitals in the province: Domingo B. Flores District Hospital, Dr. Andres J. Luciano District Hospital, Jose Songco Lapid District Hospital, San Luis District Hospital, Escolastica Romero District Hospital, Mabalacat District Hospital, Romana Pangan District Hospital, and Dr. Emigdio C. Cruz Sr. Memorial Hospital.
The PCSO Endowment Fund Program, according to the report, “provides funding support directly to government hospitals to augment the medical needs of patients admitted in the charity section/ward.”
It is intended “to uplift the health condition of the Filipino by providing financial assistance for various health and medical-related programs, medical assistance and services and charities of national character.”
