Pampanga leaders to ‘blame’ for Robredo’s 2022 run, VP jokes
Vice President Leni Robredo “blamed” Pampanga leaders, including former Governor Ed Panlilio and San Fernando City Mayor Edwin Santiago for her decision to run for president.
Ang mga Kapampangan ang may kasalanan,” she was quoted as saying in a Sun Star Pampanga report.
According to the report, Robredo addressed her supporters during a visit to San Fernando City on Friday, where she met with Panlilio and Santiago.
Robredo said Panlilio and Santiago actively pushed her to take on the challenge of serving the Filipino people.
“Mahaba iyong aming diskusyon ni Among Ed. Basta iyong ginagawa namin sa Pampanga, tuloy-tuloy lang,'” she was quoted as saying.
Santiago, on the other hand, was “very empathic” that she would get popular support.
“Si Mayor Edsa talagang very, very emphatic na, sabi niya “Hindi, makikita mo iyan. Mag-file ka lang. Gagalaw iyong mga tao,’” Robredo quoted him as saying.
