Pampanga gov distributes Covid-19 safety kits to barangays
The Pampanga provincial government will be distributing safety kits to all barangays amidst the surge of Covid-19 cases in Pampanga.
Officials are to give away 5,333 pulse oximeters, 31,988 thermometers, and 106,000 face shields, according to a Philippine Information Agency report.
Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda said the safety kits would help curb local transmission of the virus.
“We want to ensure the safety of our constituents, especially those who are considered to be at high risk like those who have co-morbidities, senior citizens, and indigents,” he was quoted as saying in the report.
“That is why we thought of giving them safety kits to protect themselves,” Pineda said.
Stricter protocols are also being implemented in the province from March 20 to April 5.
