Pampanga cops distribute aid to Muslims on Eid al-Adha
Personnel of the Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPPO) on Tuesday distributed relief packs to the Muslim community in San Fernando City to celebrate the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice.
The director of the PPPO, Colonel Arnold Ibay, said his personnel brought 100 packs of relief goods to beneficiaries in the Muslim community in Barangay Calulut.
“This is also to sustain the strong collaboration of police and the community for effective maintenance of peace and order amidst the pandemic,” he was quoted as saying in a Sun Star Pampanga report.
Ibay said the program was under the Barangayanihan Help and Food Bank of the Philippine National Police.
“The police force is conducting various programs to ensure and protect the welfare of our Muslim brothers and sisters in the province of Pampanga, as well as the whole Kapampangan community,” the official said.
