No pain, no gain.

Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman fights a difficult battle in protecting the rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community.

As LGBTs celebrate Pride Month this June, Roman lamented how she is continuing her advocacy despite the odds.

“How did I combat the pain and the suffering? I just held on to my truth,” said the transgender politiko on Instagram.

How did I combat the pain and the suffering? I just held on to my truth. When you are convinced that you are fighting the good fight, when you are convinced your principles are more important than your suffering, you will BEAR the suffering.
