Over 50% of Central Luzon population inoculated vs Covid-19

More than half of the total population of Central Luzon has been inoculated against Covid-19, according to the Department of Health (DOH).

As of Friday, the DOH-Central Luzon reported a total of 6.5 million residents in Region 3 have already been fully vaccinated for Covid-19.

That amounts to 51.46 percent of the total population in Central Luzon, according to the agency.

On the other hand, a total of 7.4 million residents, or a little below 60 percent, have received their first dose of the vaccine in Region 3, the figures showed.

The number of Covid-19 cases in Central Luzon has reached more than 300,000 of which more than 27,000 remain active, according to figures from the DOH.

As of Friday, a total of 4,127 new cases were recorded in the entire region, bringing the total in the region to 310,263 since the start of the pandemic.
