The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) focused its operations on 701 villages in Central Luzon that remain affected by illegal drugs.
According to PDEA Central Luzon Director Bryan Babang, a total of 3,102 barangays in the region remain drug-affected.
The presence of drug dens, the entry of illegal drugs in ports, and discovery of illegal drugs in parcels persist in the region, he said.
Some 306 drug-affected villages are located in Bulacan, 167 barangays in Nueva Ecija, 109 barangays in Pampanga, 56 barangays in Tarlac, 28 barangays in Angeles City, 26 barangays in Zambales, and nine barangays in Olongapo City.
The provinces of Aurora and Bataan, on the other hand, have met the conditions to be declared drug-cleared.
