Over 1K pets in Tarlac City receive free anti-rabies vaccine

Jul 17, 2018 @ 13:49

The Tarlac City Veterinary Office (CVO) has administered free anti-rabies vaccination to over 1,000 pets in six villages for this month as it has lined up similar activity in other barangays.

CVO head Dr. Julieta Parairo said those who have availed of the program from July 5 to 16 were the villages of Matatalaib, with 402 pets vaccinated; Cut Cut II 226; Bantog, 150; Lourdes, 118; San Sebastian, 79; and Cut Cut I, 51.

She said her office will also conduct another free mass anti-rabies vaccination at Brgy. San Roque on Saturday, July 21.

“Interested pet owners are encouraged to visit their Barangay Hall for more details,” Parairo said.

“These efforts are in line with Mayor Cristy Angeles’ advocacy of keeping Tarlaqueños safe from rabies-related incidents through City Veterinary Office’s Zero Rabies Campaign,” she added.
