Only medical-grade face masks allowed in public areas of Tarlac town
Only medical grade face masks such as surgical, N95 or K95 masks are allowed in public spaces in Moncada town in Tarlac province as a precautionary measure against Covid-19, according to officials.
The local government issued Municipal Ordinance 6 strictly enforcing the new policy that only medical grade face masks shall be worn in public places in the town.
“All persons who are within the territorial jurisdiction of Moncada are mandated to wear and use medical face masks while outside their respective residences, in offices, business establishments and when in other public places,” Moncada information officer and Sangguniang Bayan secretary Victor Sandino Molina said in a Philippine Information Agency report.
The official said the face mask must also be properly worn, covering the nose and mouth.
“Government agencies and the business sector must also comply with this ordinance, and adopt the “No Facemask, No Entry/Transaction” policy,” Molina said in the report.
Free face masks shall be provided to individuals who fail to comply, especially in the public market, according to the report.
